Founded in 2016 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, Bechdel Project is a feminist arts organization dedicated to amplifying the voices and stories of women, nonbinary, and underrepresented genders. We believe that we can change our culture by changing the stories we tell and that the lack of women-centered stories in our culture is harmful to both women and men. 

The FIFE Cooperative Cohort (CoHo) provides support to explore and develop at any stage in the process. The Cohort draws inspiration from the writing of bell hooks' and takes its name from her book, Feminism Is For Everybody (FIFE), and focuses on the concept of intersectional feminism, building a diverse community, and the holistic integration of art into life.
